Oisans and the guide company of Oisans-Ecrins will host the International Mountain Guide Festival and the 36th IFMGA Skiing Championship.

This gathering will take place under the banner of conviviality, of sharing, of sporting moments and of our shared passion for the mountains.

Monday 5th May – Wednesday 7th May
 IFMGA Technical Commission at Villar d’Arène.

Thursday 8th May
 9 am - 7 pm: Participants welcomed at the Tourist Office of La Grave.
 9h am: IFMGA General Assembly, ‘salle des fêtes’ (village hall) at La Grave.
 6 pm: Opening ceremony. Memorial to Claude Rey in front of the guide office at La Grave.
 7 pm: Presentation of the ski touring itinerary between La Grave and St Christophe en Oisans, in front of the guide office at La Grave.

Friday 9th May
 6.30 am: Cable car up for reconnaissance of the slalom stadium, on the glacier de la Girose (la Grave)
 (Morning)*: Discover the courses around the north and south faces of La Meije. Leaving from the Girose glacier (La Grave) and arriving at St Christophe en Oisans or La Bérarde (return by shuttle bus). Choice: several ski touring itineraries and an off-piste descent. * Times and other details will be given the evening before, depending on conditions in the mountains. There is also the possibility of skiing on the off-piste sectors of La Grave – La Meije. At 11.30 am: Bus transfer from La Grave to St Christophe en Oisans (NB. Access possible by private transport).
 From 12 am: Cocktail and buffet at St Christophe en Oisans. Visit to the “Memoires d’alpinismes” museum. Exhibition on the mountain huts of Oisans-Ecrins in partnership with the Ecrins National Park, and meeting the hut keepers. Free time in the hamlet of La Bérarde (access via shuttle bus or private cars).
 3 pm: “Paroles des guides” – at St Christophe en Oisans.
 4.30 pm: Return trip from St Christophe en Oisans to La Grave
 7 pm: The race committee meeting in the village hall at La Grave. Distribution of the race bibs and timetable for the cable car.

Saturday 10th May
 From 7h: Cable car to the top. The 36th IFMGA skiing championship on the Girose glacier (La Grave).
 12 am: Mountain style snack break in altitude (Girose glacier)
 2 - 7 pm: Professional “guide equipment” Show, in front of the village hall in La Grave.
 6 pm: Prize-giving ceremony and the closing speeches, in front of the village hall in La Grave.
 8 pm: Tented Gala soirée at the village hall in La Grave.
 10.30 pm: Concert in the village hall at La Grave.
