Oisans offers climbing enthusiasts a wonderful array of natural sites, as well as great climbing walls. The sky’s the limit!
For climbers who want to do the ‘real thing’, Oisans has some fabulous sites, such as:
Le Vernis Altitude: 750m. Number of routes: 30. Period: all year round.
Venosc Altitude: 950m. Number of routes: 51. Period: May to October.
La Bérarde Altitude: 1500 to 2000m. Number of routes: 100. Period: spring, summer and autumn.
La Chalp Altitude: 1000 m. Number of routes: 37. Period: spring, summer and autumn.
And also: Les Rochers des Plates, les Falaises du Lac Besson etc.

The climbing wall at Vaujany features climbs of varying degrees of difficulty. If you wish, you can be accompanied by a mountain guide.
Les 2 Alpes climbing wall is 30m high and features over 45 routes for everyone, from beginners to experts. Mountain guides and climbing instructors are on hand if you would like a private lesson.
The climbing wall at Allemont is called the ‘Aiguille de l’Eau d’Olle’ and is open to everyone who has their own equipment. You can also arrange a ‘discovery session’ with a mountain professional.
The Alpe d’Huez climbing wall is to be found in the ‘Palais des Sports’ or sports complex. You can either climb on your own or with a pro.
The climbing wall in Oz en Oisans is free of charge and features routes for all levels. You will need to take your own equipment and then ask at the Tourist Office.
There are also climbing walls at Mizoën and Livet.
