-Cross-country skiing (nordic)

Choose your rhythm, choose your style!

Cross-country skiing (both classic and skating) is not only a sport but also an opportunity to explore the natural surroundings and to recharge your batteries. Oisans offers skiing areas that enable you to enjoy both aspects of the sport.

In Alpe d’Huez, 50 km of way-marked trails for the pleasure of skiing as well as for the panoramic views over high altitude lakes.
At the Col d’Ornon, 25 km of way-marked trails take you into the heart of the wooded and untamed Lignarre.
In Venosc, 10 km of way-marked trails; magnificent winter skiing to explore snow-covered villages or surprise a chamois. Several trails are tracked and maintained, including the hamlet of L’Alleau and a 30 km circular round trip between Venosc and Bourg d’Oisans.
In Auris en Oisans, an 8 km circuit is packed and tracked.
In Oz en Oisans, depending on the snow conditions, a 4 km course is available in the resort.
In Allemont, the trails and circuits of the Oisan Plain cross-country site will lead you through woods and forests, following the tracks of the white hare. This site is ideal for family skiing: 25 km of trails are tracked for classic style or skating, without any scary descents or endless climbs.
In Bourg d’Oisans, there are 50 km of way-marked trails on the plain, along the Romanche river dykes, to the Pisse waterfall, or through the woods, in an area suitable for both classic and skating styles, and without any difficulties. This area is joined to that of Allemont and Venosc.
Les 2 Alpes offers several circuits. La Molière: 3 circuits of a total of 15 km over high pasture and through woods. Les Perrons: a short 2,5 Km circuit over high pasture, against the backdrop of the Muzelle glaciers.
In Villar d’Arène, on the edge of the Ecrins National Park, you can discover a technically easy site in a well-preserved environment. Along the trail, you will follow the Romanche river, cross the hamlet of Le Pied du Col and spot some chamois. There is a choice of 3 circuits, of 10, 6 and 4 km.
