Top of the slopes 3 300 m Nestling in the midst of the mountain pastures, the village of Villard Reculas started growing in the 80s. As it has developed, special attention has been paid to preserving the local architecture, so that is has kept its typical mountain village character, combining authenticity and modernity.

Facing directly south, a magnificent view can be admired over the tops of Oisans. Its skiing area has been equipped since 1946, making it the first chain in the huge skiing area of the Grandes Rousses mountain chain after Alpe d’Huez.
